Are you ready!?!?!


Got this in a email today.

The committee is reviewing the most updated information and “best practices” and is working to develop a business continuity plan so that our company is well prepared, should the flu spread to areas in which our associates live and work. We will keep you updated as progress is made on this project.

So basically we’re preparing to prepare to be prepared for a possible pandemic so that the company will still run if said pandemic incapacitates it’s workforce. Comforting to know that if I am in a hospital bed dying, the company will be able to get some one to do my job.

    There are times when working for the Federal Government is really nice. At least they are prepared for all of your important questions regarding the likelihood of you dying a horrible and painful death (no velociraptors involved). We also had a voluntary all hands meeting (a bit of an oxymoron) so those who prefer spoon-feeding, or can’t read, could feel informed if not safe (I did not attend).
