These are some pictures of the fountain at Jackson Square (8th Ave and 13th St). Don’t know exactly what happened but this is how it has looked for the past few days.

Close to freezing overnight and hasn’t broken 40 during the day. The fountain is also in the shadows of buildings all day so I doubt it gets much sun.

Obviously it was freezing…..but it hasn’t rained or snowed here yet so how do you explain the trees????
I’m guessing either the gusty wind or a pipe burst, as the whole area was cordoned off with safety tape and covered with salt.
