Upon the top of Mt. Nerd, there is a spot that has a statue of me.

The other day I downloaded what might be the BEST iPhone App on Earth! It is called the Ligthsaber App. It’s basically an advertisement for the Force Unleashed video game, but it makes all the sound effects of a lightsaber using the movement sensors of the iPhone. Is there anything more awesome? I figure that the only way to make it even better would be to somehow wrap it in bacon…but that is idea to be explored later!

Upon downloading and demonstrating the app for the Wife, she shook her head in exasperation and said “I think I married the biggest nerd in the world”. I cannot disagree on that point!

But the story continues!

So there I am, laying in bed Sunday morning. I am in that hazy state between sleep and full alertness. My mind is beginning to shake out the cobwebs of slumber and begin its day. I am not sure if it was a dream the entire time, or my thoughts led into the dream, but when it was over even I was like ‘What the..!’

It starts out with me and another person ‘dueling’ our iPhone lightsabers. All of the sudden, after soundly defeating my opponent, a whole bunch of folks with Lightsaber iPhones show up to battle me.

So I instantly grab the Wife’s iPhone, download the app, and now I am DUEL WIELDING iPhone Lightsabers!!! On an Awesome Scale of 1 to 10 this was an 11!!

This is the point that I stir myself from my slumber and try to figure out if it was a dream or a convoluted train of thought….but it was a totally ‘WTF’ moment!

Only got more head shaking from the Wife when I told her…however, she does want the app now as well. I think I am winning her over….bit by bit. We’ll know that she has made the complete turn to the Nerd Side once she signs up for WoW!

And finally…F.O.I.L. DOES make a sound. Only one tuned to the intricacies of the Nerd can hear the soul soothing melody of a properly executed F.O.I.L. Method!
